Meet Slim from Dublin

Our podcast series is bringing you Slim from Dublin.
Slim is a newcomer to the scene. Living in a city with a diverse nightlife for electronic music has helped shape his unique taste in selections & sound, striking similarities with the likes of Mano Le Tough & Avalon Emerson. At the young age of 21 with some of his first gigs this summer (Bog Fest etc.) things are looking up for the Dublin Native.

Rondo presents the dynamic duo Viktor Marina b2b Kamil Ratajczak recorded live from “Living Room Sessions #16” via Deep House Dublin, streamed live every Monday evening.
Viktor Marina – A diverse mix of deep chill house for your ears only. Bosnian born, Dublin based DJ and radio host Vik has been involved in electronic music since 2001, and a DJ since 2004. He has held residencies in clubs in Bosnia and Croatia for many years.
KaMil – An Enthusiast of electronic music since he’s been a teenager. Started practicing DJ skills about 3 years ago and gained them very quickly. Since then Kamil played most of popular venues around Dublin such as Opium rooms , Soundhouse , Wright Venue , Turks Head and many more.

Maggie Rose – DHD Living Room Session #15

21 year old Dublin based up coming DJ, Maggie Rose started Djing back in 2015 following completion of Sound Engineering and Music Producion. She has passion for electronic music and numerous support slots and festivals under her belt and a unique sound of feep gritty techno bringing her listeners on a musical journey throughout her sets.
Her gigs started back in the Twisted Pepper and then moved to venues such as Hangar, Pygmalion, Wah Wah Club, The South William, The Grand Social etc. She recently started her own string nights called ”Maggie&Friends” bringing together like minded people and showcasing Dublin’s talent in the basement and laneway of Wah Wah Club.
She is set to branch out further with her gigs this year getting booked by highly regarded club promoters and venues. Lets see what kind of set Maggie will play for us.

Ena Smajic – DHD Living Room Session #15

Ena Smajic is originally from Bosnia but currently living and studying in Dublin’s Griffith College. She has deep love for music all her life but has taking up Djing in the last couple of years and has been received well by clubbers and DJ’s

INTERESTING FACTS * Ena is a classically trained pianist and she also won second place in the US European Golf Juniors Championship back in 2009 over in Scotland when she was just 11 *.

She has a passion for Techno. Enjoy.

Alex Gram – DHD Livingroom Sessions #07 (2)

Originally from Russia St Petersburg, Alex was studying music since she was 6 years old. With piano being her favourite instrument, classical music definitely had impact on her musical preferences now. She moved to Dublin to get her degree in Interior design and Architecture in Griffith College. After finishing college she changed her professional career completely. Started DJing on a local radio station and raves. At the moment she is studying music business in Ballyfermot College, focusing on her career growth as a DJ, producer and event organiser. At the moment she is working on a project called AXXS Visual and Performing arts. Their upcoming event is in the generator hostel on the 16th of December. ”It is going to be a different way of experiencing techno as we are combining art of music and visuals. Projection mapping is an important part of the event”, says Alex as we spoke to her just after her yesterdays gig in District 8 where she player with Nicole Moudaber.
Her style of music is innovative techno.

Vlad Miler – DHD Livingroom Sessions #07 (3)

Vladimir Miler Jr.​ is a Croatian DJ with Dublin address, born in the 80’s. He’s been involved in electronic music scene since the late nineties. Vladimir is a religious record buyer and entertainer with a distinguished taste in music, from house to techno, from deep to acid. The music Vladimir plays is on the edge. Not too fast, not too slow, not too hard, not too mellow. Promoter of raves, club nights, concerts & festivals. Being involved with the scene for such a long time makes him a chronicler of times as well.

Zarko Rebac – DHD Livingroom Sessions #05 (2)

It is our great pleasure and honour to announce our next guest DJ Zarko Rebac who will be joining us for his Irish debut this Monday. Although he is new to Dublin we are sure you will be seeing more of him over the coming months.
He has released EPs on Mihaia Popoviciu’s Cyclic Records but also on Monocord Records, Kina Music, and Family Grooves.
Names like Nick Curly, Andrey Pushkarev, Blondish, Mario Aureo, and so on love to play his tracks in their sets.
With an eclectic mix of tunes which encompass the darker spheres of minimalist techno and house, his sets push boundaries, they’re spontaneous, they’re unpredictable.

Krissky – DHD Livingroom Sessions #05 (1)

We owe you this one from few weeks ago. Krissky is a Polish artist and performer based in Ireland.The inspiration for his unique blend of sound comes from genres as diverse as house and techno – Always on a lookout to experiment with different sounds and ideas. Krissky allows diverse influences to help him shape up his tracks, from the deep underground electronic music to the free-form freedom of jazz.
His sound is cinematic and textural, yet extremely direct and relatable, bridging the gaps between dance-friendly tunes and his more experimental side.
